Shemana Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1st August 2026
Shemana Pty Ltd ("Shemana", "we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and what rights you have, whether you're shopping with us, joining our loyalty or affiliate programs, holding a wholesale account, or visiting House of Shemana. It's written to align with the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. The information we collect
-
Contact and account details — name, email, phone number, billing and shipping address, account login details.
-
Order and payment information — products purchased, order value, and payment details (processed securely by our payment processors; we don't store full card numbers).
-

-
Loyalty and rewards data — points balance, referral activity and redemptions, via Smile.io.
-
Affiliate and Practitioner Partner data — application details, referral and sales activity, and commission or store credit records, via UpPromote. See section 8.
-
Wholesale account data — business name, ABN, trade references and order history, via SparkLayer.
-
Content you share with us — reviews, testimonials, photos or videos submitted voluntarily. See section 10.
2. How we collect it
Directly from you — creating an account, placing an order, joining our list, applying for an affiliate, practitioner or wholesale account, or contacting us — and automatically through cookies and tracking technologies when you browse our site.
3. Why we collect and use it
-
process and fulfil orders, including payment, shipping and customer service
-
create and manage your account, wholesale account, or affiliate/practitioner account
-
communicate with you, including order updates and opted-in marketing
-
run our loyalty, affiliate and practitioner programs
-
screen for fraud and manage business risk
-
improve our site, products and marketing through analytics
-
meet our legal and tax obligations
4. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use cookies, log files, pixels and similar technologies to recognise your browser, remember preferences, track affiliate referrals, and understand how you use our site. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features (including affiliate referral tracking and cart functionality) may stop working properly if you do. Learn more at allaboutcookies.org.
5. Personalised advertising
We use the Meta Pixel and Google Ads/Analytics to show relevant ads on Facebook, Instagram and Google, and to measure marketing performance. These tools may use cookies and device identifiers to build an interest profile. You can opt out via:
-
Facebook: facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads
-
Google: myadcenter.google.com
-
Digital Advertising Alliance: optout.aboutads.info
6. Email marketing
We use Klaviyo to send marketing emails and SMS to subscribers who opt in at checkout, on our site, or elsewhere. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can update your preferences at any time.
7. Loyalty and rewards program
If you join our rewards program, we use Smile.io to track points, referrals and redemptions. This data is used solely to run the program and is shared with Smile.io only as needed to operate it.
8. Affiliate and Practitioner Partner Program
If you apply to our Affiliate or Practitioner Partner Program, we collect information (including name, contact details, business or practice details, website/social handles, and bank or PayPal details) to:
-
assess and administer your application and ongoing participation
-
track referrals and sales attributed to you
-
calculate and pay commissions or store credit
-
communicate with you about the program
We use UpPromote to administer the program and track referral activity via cookies and unique links. Any rights to use content or testimonials you provide as part of the program are governed by the Affiliate/Practitioner Partner Terms & Conditions, not by this policy.
9. Wholesale accounts
If you hold or apply for a wholesale account, we collect and store your business details, ABN, trade references and order history via SparkLayer to manage pricing, ordering and account administration.
10. Content you share with us
If you voluntarily submit reviews, testimonials, photos or videos, we retain this information to communicate with you and administer any related program. Any rights to use this content for marketing purposes are governed separately by the relevant Terms & Conditions or agreement you've entered into with us.
