Self-Care in Leo - Rituals for Leo Season and This Months Full Moon

Posted by Shemana Elixirs on

In the turning of the seasons and the pull of the moon, there are moments that ask us to pause, soften, and listen inward.

These two rituals offer portals into that stillness—one a celebration of unguarded joy, the other a quiet reckoning with the spaces where we’ve outgrown our need to belong.

The Leo Season Ritual invites you to rediscover delight for its own sake, a creative act without audience.

The Aquarius Full Moon Ritual guides you in releasing the patterns, people, and old dreams that no longer reflect who you are becoming.

Both are gentle reminders: your joy is sacred, and your truth is enough.

Leo Season Ritual:

There is a part of you that knows how to follow joy.
A place within that remembers play, even if you’ve forgotten how to name it.
This ritual is an invitation to return to that place, not to master it, but to meet it as you are.

Set aside a quiet morning or a golden afternoon.
Choose one simple thing that brings you sincere delight.
It might be painting, cooking, writing, or singing to no one.
Let it be small; let it be yours.

What would it feel like to express without caution?

There is no audience here. You don’t need to explain your joy.
This ritual is not about doing it well.
Because your joy is not a frivolous thing, it is what makes you come alive.

Aquarius Full Moon Ritual: Releasing False Belonging

(August 9)

Under the Full Moon, permit yourself to release the hopes, affiliations, and
friendships that no longer align with who you are becoming. Sometimes we chase belonging by shrinking, by fitting into spaces that were never made for us.
Sometimes we carry old wishes that once felt vital but now feel distant, worn, or ill-
fitting. Belonging does not require you to edit yourself. It does not ask you to earn your
place.

For this ritual, find a quiet space. Write down the friendships, groups, or hopes
you’ve been holding onto out of habit, out of fear, or out of a longing to be accepted.

Name the places where you’ve sought approval instead of authenticity.

When you’re ready, read your list aloud and say:
“I release the need to fit where I no longer belong. I make space for connections that
honour who I truly am.”

Tear or safely burn the paper, allowing the release to settle in your body.
You don’t need to fill the space right away.
This is a ritual of returning to your own self-acceptance.
